An establishment steeped in history

As early as the 1920’s, Count Tattenbach accommodated “paying guests” in line with the standards set by the English. The aristocratic hotelier demonstrated vision and style – even back then, he equipped the Zürserhof with exclusive private bathrooms with golden taps. It was the only establishment on the Arlberg to have such luxury. In 1955, Ernst Skardarasy, the international skiing pioneer from Zürs, and his wife Hilde, bought the Zürserhof with its 70 beds. Since the beginning of the eighties, as sole proprietors, Monika and Willy Skardarasy have been running the 5s-star hotel, with its 180 beds and a first-class sports and recreational offer for discerning guests. 2004 saw the transition to the third generation with their son, Hannes Skardarasy, as co-director. Since September 2010, he has been actively supported by his wife Laura. June 2012 saw the birth of their son, Maximilian, who will perhaps lead the Zürserhof into the future as the fourth generation.
