Zürs was the birthplace of Austria’s first ski lift. Hannes Schneider and Ernst Skardarasy, two of Arlberg’s famous sons, developed a skiing technology that spread throughout the world – and today, with its mix of high-tech infrastructure, 200 km of untouched powder slopes and 340 km of outstandingly prepared pistes of all levels of difficulty, Arlberg is the epitome of a dream destination for sporting skiers from across the globe.
